Everything is at its Acme

Primarily the skill of navigating society successfully. The modern requirements for producing a wise man are higher than those for producing the Seven Sages, and the modern requirements for dealing with an individual are higher than those for dealing with an entire population.

A more specific definition of this skill would be the ability to skillfully navigate professional and social terrain. It is currently more difficult to cultivate a single intelligent man than it was in the past to cultivate seven sages, and it is currently more difficult to deal with a single individual than it was in the past to deal with an entire nation.

चूहे और शेर की दोस्ती

एक बार राजस्थान के रणथंभौर के जंगल में एक शेर गहरी नींद सो गया। उसके पास कुछ चूहे लुका-छिपी खेल रहे थे। एक चूहा शेर के पंजे के नीचे फंस गया। शेर उठा, जोर से हँसा और चूहे को जाने दिया!
कुछ दिनों बाद चूहे ने शेर की दहाड़ सुनी। उसने देखा कि शेर बहुत दर्द में पड़ा था क्योंकि वह कई रुपये से बंधा हुआ था। चूहे ने अपने नुकीले दांतों का इस्तेमाल किया और रस्सी को काट दिया। इस तरह वह भाग निकला।

दरअसल, जरूरतमंद दोस्त काम में दोस्त होता है।  हर दोस्त की यही तमन्ना होती है कि वह जरूरत के वक्त दोस्त के काम आए।

"आप एक सच्चे दोस्त हैं," शेर ने कहा।

इसके बाद चूहे और शेर की दोस्ती हो गई। वे बाद में जंगल में खुशी-खुशी रहने लगे।
